Can we change the definition of "human"? Are we about to? Have we already?

The issue is raised due to those "advances" in merging human brains with computers and other forms of artificial intelligence (as well as animals).

Soon, we'll reach what (licking their chops) they claim will be a point at which allegedly we will be transformed, according to one author—top Google scientist and all-around whiz-since-childhood Ray Kurzweil—into what he has the audacity to call “Spiritual Machines."

Humans will take second place, as robots rule.

"Does God exist?" Kurzweil has asked. "I would say 'Not yet.'"

Are you kidding?

This is a whisper of anti-christ.

I'm not just talking about A.I., which we covered a "report" or two ago. I'm talking about transfiguring our actual bodies and brains. As one reporter summarized it, "we would transfer or 'resurrect' our minds onto supercomputers, allowing us to live forever. Our bodies would become incorruptible, immune to disease and decay, and we would acquire knowledge by uploading it to our brains.

"Nanotechnology would allow us to remake earth into a terrestrial paradise, and then we would migrate to space, terraforming other planets. Our powers, in short, would be limitless."

If that sounds familiar, it's because this was a high sin of Lucifer.

Transhumanism, they call it.

Behind the scenes, things have been more complex, precarious, and apocalyptic than most people know. We now see what many have long prophesied: the arrival of technology (including, yes, implanted chips) with which those who take the bait will be programmed, monitored, and directed (to use nice words for it). The very nature of "human" would change.
